Zit Attaaaack!
Zits, pimples, blemishes… ugh! Whatever you call them, if you have them, you're not alone. About 85% of people in the U.S. between ages 12 and 25 get some form of pimples. No one knows for sure why some people get acne vulgaris - the medical name for zits. But researchers do know that acne usually starts in adolescence. Family history (heredity) can play a big role. If one of your parents had acne, there's a good chance you'll have it too. If both of your parents had serious pimple problems, your chances are even higher.
